Sales Executive Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales executive in Utah?
Most sales executive roles in Utah require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field, though demonstrated performance in a sales role often carries equal or greater weight with Utah employers. Utah does not require a state-issued license for most sales executive positions, but roles selling securities or financial products require FINRA licensing, and medical device roles may require manufacturer certifications. Building a record of quota attainment in account executive or territory representative roles at Utah tech or healthcare companies is the most direct path upward.
How much do sales executives make in Utah?
Sales executives in Utah earn a median of about $136,520 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,800 for the lowest 10% to over $253,390 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales executives in Utah?
Companies currently hiring sales executives in Utah include Verizon, Scorpion, and Chamber Media, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor in Salt Lake City and Provo drives particularly consistent demand, with established software, fintech, and healthcare companies recruiting experienced closers year-round.
Which Utah cities have the most sales executive jobs?
Salt Lake City, Logan, and Lehi lead in sales executive openings in Utah. Salt Lake City anchors demand as the state's commercial and corporate headquarters hub, Provo and the broader Utah Valley benefit from Silicon Slopes tech company concentration, and St. George has grown as a regional business center with expanding financial services and healthcare sales activity.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 68% of sales executive openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role, including prospecting, demos, and contract negotiation, can be conducted digitally. SaaS and enterprise software roles based out of Utah's Silicon Slopes are the most consistently remote-eligible, while territory-based roles in medical device or industrial sales typically remain field-facing.
How can I get hired as a sales executive in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a business development representative or inside sales associate role at one of Utah's many SaaS companies in the Salt Lake City or Provo area, where many firms run structured sales development programs that promote from within. Companies like Adobe and Qualtrics maintain early-career pipelines, and regional financial services firms recruit entry-level account associates who can advance into executive roles. Completing a FINRA Series 63 or 65 exam, or earning a HubSpot or Salesforce certification, gives candidates a concrete credential that Utah hiring managers recognize even without a long sales history.
Where can I find and apply to sales executive jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to sales executive jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings across industries and experience levels. Search for roles that fit your background, specialty, and preferred location within the state, then apply directly to the listings that match.
