Sales Representative Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales representative in Washington?
Most sales representative roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though many employers will consider candidates with equivalent experience. Washington does not require a general sales license, but pharmaceutical and medical device representatives often pursue voluntary certifications such as the Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative credential. Building familiarity with Washington's dominant industries, particularly technology and healthcare, strengthens candidacy significantly.
Which companies hire sales representatives in Washington?
Employers hiring sales representatives in Washington right now include Canyon Creek Financial, Travel + Leisure, and LPI, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of technology, aerospace, and life sciences companies means many of these roles focus on software, medical devices, or industrial products sold to enterprise clients across the Pacific Northwest.
Which Washington cities have the most sales representative jobs?
Seattle, Kent, and Spokane have the most sales representative openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue dominate because of the region's dense cluster of technology companies, healthcare systems, and corporate headquarters, while Spokane draws listings from agricultural equipment, manufacturing, and regional healthcare distributors serving eastern Washington and the broader Inland Northwest.
Are there remote sales representative jobs in Washington?
Yes, and they are more common in Washington than in many other states, particularly for software and technology sales roles. About 17% of sales representative openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the state's strong SaaS and enterprise tech sector. Inside sales and account management positions are the sub-roles most frequently offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a sales representative in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for inside sales associate or sales development representative roles, which large Washington employers in technology and healthcare routinely use to develop new talent. Companies like Microsoft and regional healthcare distributors based in the Puget Sound area often post roles that do not require prior sales experience, favoring candidates with customer service or retail backgrounds from Washington employers. Completing a relevant certification and demonstrating knowledge of CRM tools gives a first-time applicant a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to sales representative jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to sales representative jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Find roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
