Sales Support Specialist Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales support specialist in Indiana?
Most Indiana employers expect at least an associate degree in business, marketing, or communications, with a bachelor's degree preferred for roles tied to manufacturing or life sciences accounts. No state-issued license is required for this role in Indiana. Building proficiency in a CRM platform, gaining experience in customer service or administrative coordination, and earning a vendor-neutral certification like Salesforce Administrator or HubSpot Sales Software strengthens a candidate's profile considerably in the Indiana market.
Which companies hire sales support specialists in Indiana?
Employers hiring sales support specialists in Indiana right now include Amcor, Airgas, and Sweetwater, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indiana's strong manufacturing and life sciences base means many of these openings sit within companies that manage complex B2B accounts and require dedicated sales support staff to handle quoting, order management, and client coordination.
Which Indiana cities have the most sales support specialist jobs?
Indianapolis, Lafayette, and Evansville have the most sales support specialist openings in Indiana. Indianapolis dominates because it is home to major corporate headquarters and regional offices in life sciences, technology, and financial services, while Fort Wayne and South Bend draw demand from their strong manufacturing and distribution employer bases, which rely on inside sales and account coordination teams to support industrial customers.
Are there remote sales support specialist jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 0% of sales support specialist openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves phone, email, and CRM-based work that translates well to distributed teams. Order entry, quote generation, and inside account management functions are the most commonly offered remotely, while roles requiring warehouse or showroom coordination tend to stay on-site.
How can I get hired as a sales support specialist in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to administrative assistant, customer service representative, or inside sales coordinator roles at mid-size Indiana manufacturers or distributors in the Indianapolis or Fort Wayne corridors, where turnover creates consistent openings for candidates willing to learn CRM tools on the job. Large Indiana employers in life sciences and logistics often promote from within their customer service teams into sales support roles. Completing a free CRM certification, such as Salesforce Trailhead or HubSpot Academy, gives candidates without direct experience a concrete skill to point to.
Where can I find and apply to sales support specialist jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to sales support specialist jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
