About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to be a vital cog in our 4-person accounting team. You will be responsible for the following areas: café revenue, corporate credit cards, cash audits, operating expenses, and remote deposits. The ideal candidate excels in a team environment as well as independently, lives in the chart of accounts, is obsessed with details to the penny, and is open to improving processes. They also enjoy the synergy gained from an onsite workplace 5x per week.
What You’ll Do
As our Staff Accountant, you will:
· Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.
· Analyze and verify financial information to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
· Support the month-end and year-end close processes by providing timely and accurate financial information.
· Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, highlighting revenue streams and trends.
· Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls related to revenue.
· Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue accounts.
· Oversee cash management by our Chef managers through expense reports and cash audits
· Manage corporate credit cards and approve expense report requests
- Assist with various month-end or ad hoc projects as needed
