This is an execution-focused accounting role. You'll own accurate, timely bookkeeping for a range of clients, and the transaction-level judgment that comes with it. This is a hybrid role based in the Kansas City metro. You'll work primarily from home, with regular in-person time at client offices around KC.
What You'll Do
- Code and categorize transactions on a daily or weekly cadence
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including bill pay
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Run payroll for clients
- Record payroll journal entries from the payroll provider
- Maintain supporting schedules: fixed assets, prepaids, accruals
- Prepare and file 1099s for clients
- Support system migrations and accounting software implementations as needed
- Assist CFOs and Controllers with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial technology and accounting software implementations

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Hands-on bookkeeping and payroll experience
- The ability to manage your own workload across several client accounts at once
