Territory Manager Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory manager in Missouri?
Most territory manager roles in Missouri require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or an industry-relevant field combined with prior outside sales or account management experience. There is no state-issued license for the general territory manager role, though positions in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or medical devices may require manufacturer certifications or compliance training. Building familiarity with Missouri's key industries, such as agriculture, healthcare, and manufacturing, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
How much do territory managers make in Missouri?
Territory managers in Missouri earn a median of about $115,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,920 for the lowest 10% to over $223,340 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory managers in Missouri?
Employers hiring territory managers in Missouri right now include Scouting America, US Foods, and AAA Cooper Transportation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large agricultural distributors, and regional healthcare systems means consistent year-round openings for experienced territory managers.
Which Missouri cities have the most territory manager jobs?
St. Louis, Kansas City, and Columbia account for the largest share of territory manager openings in Missouri. St. Louis and Kansas City drive volume through their dense concentrations of corporate headquarters, distribution hubs, and healthcare networks, while Springfield supports steady demand from regional agribusiness, manufacturing, and healthcare employers serving southwest Missouri and adjacent markets.
Are there remote territory manager jobs in Missouri?
Yes, but they're rare. Territory manager roles are inherently field-based, requiring regular in-person visits to clients, distributors, or retail accounts within an assigned geography. About 92% of territory manager openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be in roles where account oversight, forecasting, and internal coordination can be handled digitally rather than through daily on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a territory manager in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales, sales development, or account coordinator role at a Missouri-based company and building toward a field assignment. Large Missouri employers in distribution, medical devices, and agricultural products, such as those headquartered in St. Louis and Kansas City, regularly promote internally from sales support positions. Completing industry-specific certifications, such as a CPSD designation for distribution or relevant manufacturer training programs, strengthens an application significantly alongside a documented record of quota contribution in any sales-adjacent role.
Where can I find and apply to territory manager jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to territory manager jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your industry background and geography, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
