Territory Sales Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory sales manager in Arizona?
Most territory sales manager roles in Arizona require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with a background in outside or account-based sales. Arizona does not require a state-issued license for general sales management, though roles in specific sectors carry credential requirements: pharmaceutical or medical device representatives often need manufacturer certifications, and real estate territory roles require an Arizona Department of Real Estate license. Employers typically promote from account executive or sales representative roles internally.
How much do territory sales managers make in Arizona?
Territory sales managers in Arizona earn a median of about $145,690 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $74,510 for the lowest 10% to over $255,220 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory sales managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring territory sales managers in Arizona right now include Herc Rentals, WillScot, and LaserAway, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of healthcare systems, defense and aerospace suppliers, and regional distribution hubs means demand is particularly consistent in the Greater Phoenix metro and the Tucson corridor.
Which Arizona cities have the most territory sales manager jobs?
The cities with the most territory sales manager openings in Arizona are Phoenix, Tucson, and Flagstaff. Phoenix dominates because it serves as the corporate and distribution hub for the state, anchoring large employers in technology, healthcare, and industrial supply, while Scottsdale's concentration of SaaS companies and financial services firms adds a steady pipeline, and Tucson draws openings tied to the University of Arizona Medical Center, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base contractors, and regional agriculture suppliers.
Are there remote territory sales manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they're limited, because territory sales management is fundamentally a field role built around in-person client visits across a defined geographic area. About 83% of territory sales manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to be in SaaS, technology services, or inside-facing account management rather than true field territory roles. Fully remote openings are more common at the senior or strategic account level.
How can I get hired as a territory sales manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to start as a sales development representative, account coordinator, or inside sales associate with a large Arizona employer and move into a territory role after demonstrating consistent quota performance. Companies like Shamrock Foods, Axon, and regional medical device distributors based in the Phoenix metro regularly hire into associate sales programs that feed directly into territory assignments. Building a portfolio of documented outreach results and earning a relevant product certification in your target industry strengthens a candidacy before the first territory interview.
Where can I find and apply to territory sales manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to territory sales manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson, and the surrounding areas. Search the listings, identify roles that match your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly to each one.
