Sales Development Representative Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales development representative in Arizona?
Arizona does not require a state-issued license or certification to work as a sales development representative. Most employers prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, though many Arizona tech and fintech companies hire motivated candidates from any academic background. Completing recognized sales training programs, earning a HubSpot or Salesforce certification, and building cold-outreach experience through internships or inside sales roles are the most direct paths into SDR positions in the state.
How much do sales development representatives make in Arizona?
Sales development representatives in Arizona earn a median of about $72,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $40,680 for the lowest 10% to over $130,220 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales development representatives in Arizona?
Employers hiring sales development representatives in Arizona right now include Colgate-Palmolive, Axon, and Nuvei, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of SaaS companies, financial technology firms, and national corporate headquarters in the Phoenix metro makes it one of the more active SDR hiring markets in the Southwest.
Which Arizona cities have the most sales development representative jobs?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa have the most sales development representative openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates because it hosts the regional or national headquarters of major technology, insurance, and financial services companies, while Scottsdale and Tempe draw SDR hiring from a dense cluster of SaaS startups, fintech firms, and mid-market B2B companies that have expanded there over the past decade.
Are there remote sales development representative jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 44% of sales development representative openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits a phone-and-screen workflow. Fully remote SDR positions are most common in SaaS and software companies, where the entire sales cycle runs through digital channels and reps are rarely required on-site.
How can I get hired as a sales development representative in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to inside sales associate or sales coordinator roles at mid-size Arizona tech companies, which regularly promote into SDR positions within six to twelve months. GoDaddy, Axway, and several Scottsdale-based SaaS firms run structured sales development programs that onboard candidates without prior SDR experience. Earning a Salesforce Administrator credential or HubSpot Sales Software certification gives Arizona applicants a concrete edge over other entry-level candidates, as does any demonstrated experience in customer service, retail, or account management.
Where can I find and apply to sales development representative jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to sales development representative jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and beyond. Find the roles that fit your experience and background and apply directly through each listing.
