Account Associate Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account associate in Minnesota?
Most account associate roles in Minnesota require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a closely related field, though some employers in insurance or financial services accept an associate degree combined with relevant experience. If you move into insurance account work, Minnesota requires a Property and Casualty or Life and Health producer license issued by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Candidates outside insurance typically enter through client services, sales support, or administrative roles at Twin Cities firms and build from there.
Which companies hire account associates in Minnesota?
Employers hiring account associates in Minnesota right now include State Farm, North Risk Partners, and Spectrum Brands, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's deep concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in financial services, healthcare, and retail makes it one of the more active states for account associate hiring year-round.
Which Minnesota cities have the most account associate jobs?
Minneapolis, Saint Cloud, and Wayzata have the most account associate openings in Minnesota. The Twin Cities dominate because Minneapolis and Saint Paul are home to major corporate headquarters in insurance, banking, and technology, while Rochester's openings are driven largely by its healthcare and professional services employers anchored by the region's large medical institutions.
Are there remote account associate jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and they're fairly common, since account associate work is largely desk-based and communication-driven rather than requiring an on-site presence. About 88% of account associate openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely Minnesota employers in insurance, SaaS, and financial services have adopted flexible arrangements. Client onboarding and renewal coordination are the tasks most frequently handled fully remote.
How can I get hired as a account associate in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to client services coordinator or account support specialist roles at Twin Cities-based insurance carriers, banks, or technology companies that regularly onboard new graduates. Employers like large Minnesota-headquartered insurers and regional banks often run rotational or associate programs designed for candidates without direct account experience. Earning a Minnesota Property and Casualty producer license before applying gives you a concrete edge for insurance-sector roles, and experience in customer service, administrative coordination, or inside sales translates directly into account associate responsibilities.
Where can I find and apply to account associate jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to account associate jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current Minnesota openings updated regularly. Search the listings to see roles that match your experience level, preferred city, and work arrangement, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
