Account Associate Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account associate in New York?
Most account associate roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, and no state-issued license is required for the general role. New York employers in advertising and financial services typically expect candidates to apply directly through company career portals, often starting in coordinator or assistant account roles. Completing an internship with a New York agency, financial firm, or media company is the most reliable way to build the credentials employers expect.
Which companies hire account associates in New York?
Employers hiring account associates in New York right now include State Farm, Northwell Health, and Bank of America, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's dense concentration of advertising agencies, financial institutions, and media companies means account associate openings appear consistently throughout the year across the metro area.
Which New York cities have the most account associate jobs?
New York, New York City, and Brooklyn have the most account associate openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the headquarters of major advertising holding companies, Wall Street financial firms, and national media brands, while White Plains and Buffalo attract openings from regional corporate offices and financial services operations that support the broader state market.
Are there remote account associate jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than many client-facing roles, since account associates in advertising, media, and financial services often handle communication and reporting tasks that translate well to remote settings. About 20% of account associate openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at New York City agencies and financial firms. Fully remote roles tend to cluster in digital marketing and SaaS account support positions.
How can I get hired as a account associate in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to internship-to-hire programs at New York advertising agencies, media companies, or financial services firms, which regularly convert interns to full-time account coordinators. Large New York agency groups and banks run structured new-graduate programs that include rotational account training. Adjacent roles such as marketing assistant, customer success coordinator, or sales development representative at New York employers are strong lateral moves, and candidates who hold a completed internship portfolio or a Google or HubSpot certification gain a clear edge in screening.
Where can I find and apply to account associate jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to account associate jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to New York employers and updates regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly, without needing to go through a separate platform or intermediary.
