Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline. Candidates build a foundation through inside sales, customer success, or sales coordinator roles, then move into account management. Earning a certification such as the Certified Professional Sales Person credential can strengthen a North Carolina application, particularly in the competitive Charlotte and Raleigh markets.
How much do account managers make in North Carolina?

A Salesforce Administrator certificate or a HubSpot Sales certification gives early-career candidates a concrete edge when applying to these programs.
