Account Manager Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account manager in Wisconsin?
Most account manager roles in Wisconsin require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers accept equivalent work experience in sales or customer success. Wisconsin does not issue a state license for account managers, so hiring is based on education, demonstrated client relationship skills, and industry knowledge. Candidates targeting financial services firms should be aware that roles involving securities or insurance products may require FINRA or Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance credentials.
How much do account managers make in Wisconsin?
Account managers in Wisconsin earn a median of about $64,020 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,900 for the lowest 10% to over $123,280 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Wisconsin?
Companies currently hiring account managers in Wisconsin include Taylor Strategy Partners, Vestis, and Get It Now, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Wisconsin's concentration of insurance carriers, financial technology firms, and industrial distributors means account management openings appear consistently across both enterprise and mid-market employers throughout the state.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most account manager jobs?
Madison, Milwaukee, and Appleton have the most account manager openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee leads due to its density of corporate headquarters in financial services and manufacturing, Madison draws heavily from technology and state government contracting, and Green Bay's strong logistics and packaging industries generate consistent demand for client-facing account roles.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 60% of account manager openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how central phone, email, and video communication are to the work. The most remote-friendly sub-areas are software and technology account management, while roles tied to manufacturing or in-person client service tend to require regular on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a account manager in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales role, which large Wisconsin employers like Fiserv, Epic Systems, and American Family Insurance use as a pipeline into full account management. Candidates can also move laterally from customer service or client support positions within the same company. Completing a CRM certification such as Salesforce Associate and building a record of meeting client satisfaction goals strengthens an application significantly for Wisconsin hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to account manager jobs in Wisconsin?
You can find and apply to account manager jobs in Wisconsin on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the roles that match your experience level and industry focus, then apply directly to the ones that fit your background.
