Assistant Operations Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a assistant operations manager in Colorado?
Most Colorado employers require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain, or a closely related field as the baseline credential. There is no state-issued license specific to assistant operations managers in Colorado, so hiring decisions hinge on education paired with progressive operations or supervisory experience. Earning a certification such as a Certified Associate in Project Management or a supply chain credential strengthens a candidacy considerably with Colorado's logistics and healthcare employers.
Which companies hire assistant operations managers in Colorado?
Employers hiring assistant operations managers in Colorado right now include Vail Resorts, CLEAR, and Gorsuch, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado's mix of major distribution centers, regional hospital networks, and defense and aerospace contractors creates a particularly broad range of industries actively seeking this role.
Which Colorado cities have the most assistant operations manager jobs?
Denver, Longmont, and Colorado Springs account for the largest concentration of assistant operations manager openings in Colorado. Denver drives the majority of demand as the state's commercial and healthcare hub, while Colorado Springs and Aurora generate consistent openings through their significant military, defense contracting, and large regional employer bases that require dedicated operations support teams.
Are there remote assistant operations manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based roles, since assistant operations managers frequently oversee on-site staff, facilities, and physical workflows. About 0% of assistant operations manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be roles focused on administrative coordination, reporting, and vendor management rather than direct floor or facility oversight.
How can I get hired as a assistant operations manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from an operations coordinator, logistics associate, or administrative team lead role within a Colorado employer. Large health systems like UCHealth and SCL Health, as well as major distribution operators in the Denver metro, regularly post internal development pathways for coordinators stepping into assistant management. Building toward a project management or supply chain certification while in a coordinator role signals readiness to Colorado hiring managers and shortens the promotion timeline considerably.
Where can I find and apply to assistant operations manager jobs in Colorado?

Search for roles that match your experience level and target industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
