Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Partnerships Manager Jobs at ABB Jobs
Align your credentials to ABB's specialty occupation standard
H-1B eligibility requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation. For Partnerships Manager positions at ABB, frame your degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field as directly tied to managing industrial automation or electrification partnerships, not general commercial relationships.
Research ABB's manufacturing verticals before applying
ABB organizes its business around distinct divisions like robotics, motion, and smart buildings. Targeting roles within the division closest to your background signals fit and increases the likelihood a hiring manager sees your application as filling a specific, hard-to-source need.
Find open Partnerships Manager roles on Migrate Mate
ABB posts Partnerships Manager openings across multiple divisions and regions. Use Migrate Mate to filter ABB jobs by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're only spending time on roles where international candidates are actively considered.
Engage ABB's talent team before the offer stage
Many manufacturing companies, including ABB, route sponsorship decisions through HR before a formal offer is extended. Asking directly about H-1B support during the final interview round prevents late-stage surprises and signals you understand the process.
Prepare your LCA documentation early with your employer
ABB's legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. Understanding that LCA certification must come first means you can prompt your employer contact to start the process without waiting for HR to raise it.
Plan your timeline around the H-1B cap and October 1 start date
Cap-subject H-1B petitions can only take effect October 1. If you're targeting a Partnerships Manager role at ABB and are not already in H-1B status, your offer needs to align with the registration window in March, or cap-exempt options like O-1 need to be explored.

Find Partnerships Manager at ABB JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ABB sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Managers?
Yes, ABB sponsors H-1B visas for Partnerships Manager roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related technical discipline. ABB's legal and HR teams manage the petition process, which includes filing a Labor Condition Application with DOL and submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS.
Which visa types are commonly used for Partnerships Manager roles at ABB?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Partnerships Manager roles at ABB, covering initial work authorization in three-year increments. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, ABB also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions, which typically involve PERM labor certification through DOL before the I-140 immigrant petition is filed with USCIS.
What qualifications and experience does ABB look for in Partnerships Manager candidates?
ABB typically expects a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, combined with experience managing technology or industrial partnerships. Backgrounds in manufacturing, automation, or electrification sectors carry the most weight. Familiarity with channel sales, OEM relationships, or systems integration in a B2B environment strengthens your application considerably across ABB's business divisions.
How do I apply for Partnerships Manager jobs at ABB?
You can find and apply for Partnerships Manager roles at ABB directly through Migrate Mate, which filters ABB's open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility. Before applying, tailor your resume to reflect the specific ABB division you're targeting, whether that's robotics, electrification, or smart buildings, since each division has distinct partnership priorities and hiring criteria.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship at ABB?
If you need a new H-1B and are subject to the annual cap, USCIS opens registration in March and employment can only begin October 1 at the earliest. Securing your offer at ABB before February gives the company enough lead time to complete the Labor Condition Application with DOL and file your H-1B petition during the registration window without a rushed process.
