Frame your PMP credential for accounting contexts
Aprio's Project Manager roles often sit within audit, tax, or advisory workflows. If you hold a PMP or CAPM, frame your experience around financial project cycles, regulatory deadlines, and client deliverable management rather than general project methodology.
Target Aprio's advisory and assurance practice areas
Aprio posts Project Manager openings across service lines like business process improvement and risk advisory. Applying to roles tied to a specific practice area signals fit and increases your odds of reaching a hiring team that regularly works with international candidates.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Aprio's open roles
Aprio lists Project Manager positions across multiple office locations and practice groups. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Aprio roles that align with your visa eligibility, so you focus your applications where sponsorship pathways have precedent.
Ask about EB-2 versus EB-3 routing early
Accounting and advisory firms typically file employment-based Green Card petitions through PERM with the DOL. Ask the recruiter whether the role is being scoped at a level that supports EB-2 advanced degree classification, since this affects PERM documentation requirements and your timeline.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation upfront
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims for Project Manager roles in professional services. If your degree is from a non-U.S. institution, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member evaluator before the offer stage so there are no delays when the I-129 petition is filed.
Clarify employer support during the PERM waiting period
EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions require PERM labor certification, which typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even sees the I-140. Confirm with Aprio's HR team how they handle continued employment authorization during this period, particularly if you're bridging from another nonimmigrant status.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aprio sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Aprio's primary sponsorship track for Project Managers runs through employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B visa. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Aprio can file an H-1B transfer petition for a qualifying Project Manager role, but the firm's documented sponsorship activity for this function is concentrated on permanent residency petitions.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Aprio?
Applications go through Aprio's careers portal, where Project Manager roles are listed by service line and office location. Tailor your resume to highlight experience in professional services environments, specifically audit, advisory, or tax project lifecycles. Visa sponsorship intent is best raised after an initial recruiter screen, once mutual fit is established, to avoid early-stage friction.
Which visa types does Aprio commonly use for Project Manager sponsorship?
Aprio's sponsorship activity for Project Managers centers on employment-based Green Card categories: EB-2 for roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, and EB-3 for professional roles meeting the bachelor's degree standard. Both routes require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the I-140 immigrant petition.
What qualifications does Aprio expect for Project Manager roles?
Aprio typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, often alongside a PMP certification or equivalent project management credential. Hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams in professional services or financial consulting environments carries significant weight. Familiarity with audit or advisory project structures distinguishes competitive candidates from those with only general industry backgrounds.
How do I find Project Manager roles at Aprio that support visa sponsorship?
Not every Aprio Project Manager posting explicitly flags sponsorship eligibility, which makes filtering by employer sponsorship history essential. Migrate Mate aggregates Aprio's open Project Manager roles with visibility into which positions align with employment-based sponsorship pathways, so you can focus your search on opportunities where your visa situation is a realistic fit rather than an obstacle.
