Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Strategic Business Development Jobs at Brex Jobs
Frame your fintech experience in BD terms
Brex recruits Strategic Business Development talent with backgrounds in payments, corporate cards, or expense management. Translate your financial services experience into pipeline metrics and partnership outcomes before you apply, not after you get the interview.
Target Brex's partner ecosystem teams specifically
Brex's Strategic Business Development hiring often clusters around banking integrations, software partnerships, and enterprise channel deals. Researching their existing partner announcements helps you tailor applications to the exact business units most likely to have open roles.
Use Migrate Mate to surface current Brex openings
Strategic Business Development roles at Brex appear and fill quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter open positions by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to roles where your status, whether H-1B, TN, or OPT, is already confirmed as supported.
Align your H-1B petition timing with Brex's offer process
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. If Brex extends an offer after the filing window closes, negotiate a deferred start tied to the next H-1B cycle rather than letting the offer lapse.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for business development roles more than technical ones. Make sure your offer letter specifies a degree requirement in a directly related field, like finance, economics, or business strategy, not just a general preference for a bachelor's degree.

Find Strategic Business Development at Brex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Strategic Business Developments?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Strategic Business Development roles. The company operates as a registered H-1B employer and has filed petitions for international candidates in this function. Because business development roles receive heavier USCIS scrutiny than technical positions, your offer letter and supporting documentation need to clearly establish a degree requirement tied to the specific role.
How do I apply for Strategic Business Development jobs at Brex?
Applications go through Brex's careers page. Before applying, confirm the role explicitly supports visa sponsorship, since not every open position does. Migrate Mate lists current Strategic Business Development openings at Brex filtered by sponsorship type, which helps you identify the right roles before investing time in the application. Tailor your resume to Brex's fintech and partnerships context.
Which visa types does Brex commonly use for Strategic Business Development roles?
Brex sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Strategic Business Development positions, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employment. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles. F-1 OPT is common for candidates entering the BD function early in their careers, particularly through campus recruiting.
What qualifications does Brex expect for Strategic Business Development roles?
Brex typically looks for candidates with backgrounds in financial services, payments, enterprise SaaS, or corporate finance, combined with demonstrated experience building partnerships or closing deals. For visa sponsorship purposes, your academic credentials matter beyond the hiring decision. USCIS requires that your degree field align directly with the BD role as described in the job posting, so a degree in business, finance, or economics strengthens both your application and your petition.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship from Brex?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March each year, with petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you receive a Brex offer in spring or summer, USCIS premium processing can accelerate petition adjudication to around 15 business days once filed, but it cannot move the October start date. Factor in at least three to four months between offer and authorization when planning your job search timeline.
