Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Nursing Jobs at Fairview Health Services Jobs
Get your NCLEX and credentials verified early
Fairview requires U.S. RN licensure before a start date, so begin your NCLEX-RN preparation and state board application in Minnesota well ahead of any offer. Credential evaluation through a CGFNS-approved body typically runs several months.
Target units where Fairview actively recruits
Fairview's open nursing roles span medical-surgical, ICU, and behavioral health across its Twin Cities campuses. Prioritizing high-volume units increases your odds of landing a role where the hiring team has experience navigating sponsorship paperwork.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Fairview nursing openings
Fairview posts nursing roles across multiple specialties and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Fairview Health Services openings that align with your visa type, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring conversation.
Ask HR about EB-3 sponsorship timing upfront
For permanent residence, Fairview has used the EB-3 pathway for nursing staff, which requires PERM labor certification through DOL. Ask during the offer stage whether the role is eligible and what the typical internal timeline looks like before your first H-1B year expires.
File your H-1B petition with accurate LCA wage data
Fairview must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your nursing specialty and work location. Review the certified LCA before your attorney submits the I-129 to USCIS to catch any role or location mismatches.

Find Nursing at Fairview Health Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fairview Health Services sponsor H-1B visas for Nursings?
Yes, Fairview Health Services has sponsored H-1B visas for nursing roles. Because nursing is a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing, it qualifies under H-1B criteria. Sponsorship requires Fairview to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL and submit an I-129 petition to USCIS on your behalf, so confirm the specific role is eligible during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Fairview Health Services?
Applications go through Fairview's careers portal, where you can search by role type, location, and department. You can also browse verified Fairview nursing openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify roles where international candidates are actively considered. Either way, having your NCLEX-RN licensure and credential verification in order before applying strengthens your application.
Which visa types does Fairview Health Services commonly use for Nursing roles?
Fairview has sponsored nursing candidates through H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT pathways, as well as employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. TN is typically the fastest option for Canadian nurses. F-1 OPT works for recent nursing graduates in their authorized work period. H-1B and EB-3 are the primary long-term routes for nurses from other countries.
What qualifications does Fairview Health Services expect for sponsored Nursing roles?
Fairview generally requires U.S. RN licensure, which means passing the NCLEX-RN and obtaining a Minnesota state nursing license. A bachelor's degree in nursing is standard for H-1B eligibility and often preferred for clinical roles. International candidates should have their foreign nursing credentials evaluated through a CGFNS-accepted organization and be prepared to show clinical experience relevant to the unit they're applying to.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Nursing role at Fairview Health Services?
Timeline depends on visa type. TN for Canadian nurses can be processed at the border in a single day with the right documentation. H-1B standard processing with USCIS runs roughly three to five months after petition filing, with premium processing available for faster adjudication. EB-3 permanent residence through PERM is a multi-year process. Starting licensure and credential verification as early as possible avoids delays after an offer is made.
