Tailor your resume to automotive operations
Genuine Parts Company prioritizes candidates with supply chain or distribution center experience in automotive or industrial parts. Frame your background around inventory management, service level metrics, and cross-functional coordination rather than generic customer service.
Verify your OPT eligibility before applying
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT authorization period aligns with Genuine Parts Company's typical hiring timeline. Roles in operations often have structured onboarding cycles, so a misaligned OPT start date can complicate an otherwise strong application.
Target regional distribution hubs in your search
Genuine Parts Company's Customer Operations Manager openings cluster around its regional NAPA distribution network. Search by hub cities rather than headquarters alone to find active postings where sponsorship decisions are made at the local operational level.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship roles
Not every Customer Operations Manager posting at Genuine Parts Company will explicitly state sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles where the company has an active sponsorship history for this function, so you apply where your visa status is already a known variable.
Request H-1B filing timelines during the offer stage
Once you have an offer, ask the recruiter whether the company files under the regular cap or uses premium processing through USCIS. For Customer Operations Manager roles, confirming the April 1 filing window timeline early prevents gaps between your current status and H-1B activation.
Gather PERM-ready documentation before your start date
If Genuine Parts Company offers a permanent residency pathway through EB-2 or EB-3, the PERM labor certification process requires detailed employment history records. Prepare certified translations of foreign degrees and prior employer letters before you begin, not after sponsorship is offered.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Genuine Parts Company sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Operations Managers?
Yes, Genuine Parts Company sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Operations Manager roles. The company has a documented history of filing across multiple visa categories for this function in its automotive distribution operations. Sponsorship is typically initiated after an offer is extended, so confirming the company's willingness early in the interview process is advisable.
How do I apply for Customer Operations Manager jobs at Genuine Parts Company?
Applications go through Genuine Parts Company's careers portal, where Customer Operations Manager roles are listed by region and business unit. You can also browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where the company has an established sponsorship track record. Tailoring your application to automotive distribution experience significantly improves your chances.
Which visa types does Genuine Parts Company commonly use for Customer Operations Manager roles?
Genuine Parts Company sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for eligible roles. For Customer Operations Manager positions, H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant pathway, while EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship typically follows after an employee has been in the role for a defined tenure period.
What qualifications does Genuine Parts Company expect for Customer Operations Manager roles?
Genuine Parts Company looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience managing customer accounts or distribution workflows in an automotive or industrial parts environment. Familiarity with inventory systems, service level agreements, and cross-functional team coordination is a consistent expectation across its regional operations.
How do I plan my visa timeline when pursuing a Customer Operations Manager role at Genuine Parts Company?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, the annual cap registration window opens in March, with an October 1 start date if selected. Aligning your offer timeline so your start date falls within a valid OPT or other bridge status period is critical. If you're on a 60-day grace period between jobs, Genuine Parts Company's structured HR process means initiating conversations with recruiters early is essential to avoid status gaps.
