Align your credentials to operations-specific requirements
Genuine Parts Company's Business Operations roles often sit at the intersection of supply chain, logistics, and automotive distribution. Frame your degree and experience around process improvement, vendor management, or inventory systems to match what their hiring teams prioritize.
Target roles that align with your visa category
H-1B and TN candidates should focus on Business Operations positions that explicitly require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Roles requiring only general experience are harder to support under specialty occupation or TN professional criteria.
Use Migrate Mate to find open sponsorship-eligible positions
Search Migrate Mate's job board to filter Genuine Parts Company's Business Operations openings by visa type. This saves time you'd otherwise spend manually checking postings that don't sponsor or contacting HR teams with no confirmed sponsorship history.
Confirm LCA filing intent before accepting an offer
Before signing, verify that your offer letter references visa sponsorship and that your employer is prepared to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. Missing this step early creates delays when your OPT or current status has limited runway.
Factor OPT cap-gap timing into your application timeline
If you're on F-1 OPT and your employer files your H-1B petition by the April 1 deadline, USCIS's cap-gap provision keeps you authorized to work through September 30. Plan your offer acceptance and start date around this window.
Highlight automotive or distribution industry experience in applications
Genuine Parts Company's Business Operations function supports one of the largest automotive parts distribution networks in North America. Candidates who reference experience with parts procurement, dealer networks, or distribution center operations stand out against generalist applicants.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Genuine Parts Company sponsor H-1B visas for Business Operations?
Yes, Genuine Parts Company has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Business Operations roles, particularly positions that qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles tied to supply chain management, logistics analysis, or business systems typically meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, though each petition is evaluated individually based on the job duties and degree requirement.
How do I apply for Business Operations jobs at Genuine Parts Company?
Applications go through Genuine Parts Company's careers portal, where you can filter by department and location. Before applying, review each posting for language confirming visa sponsorship eligibility, since not all Business Operations roles at the company are open to sponsored candidates. Migrate Mate also aggregates their sponsorship-eligible postings, making it easier to identify which openings are relevant to your visa situation.
Which visa types does Genuine Parts Company commonly use for Business Operations roles?
Genuine Parts Company has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Business Operations hires. H-1B is the most common path for long-term sponsorship. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, which can include business analysts and management roles depending on the specific duties.
What qualifications does Genuine Parts Company expect for Business Operations roles?
Most Business Operations positions require a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a closely related field. Relevant experience in automotive parts distribution, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, or process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma strengthens your candidacy significantly. Roles at the senior level often expect prior experience in a multi-site or wholesale distribution environment.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Business Operations positions?
From offer to visa approval, timelines vary by visa type. H-1B petitions filed under the annual lottery have an October 1 start date, so offers made in early spring can mean a wait of several months before you begin. TN status for eligible candidates can be obtained at the border or port of entry in days. USCIS premium processing for H-1B petitions gives a decision within 15 business days for an additional fee.
