About Morland Companies
Morland Companies is a growing Minnesota general contractor specializing in residential and commercial construction and remodeling. Our projects include roofing, siding, decks, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, interior remodeling, and commercial improvements.
We are looking for a dependable, organized, construction-minded Project Manager who can take ownership of projects in the field and make sure our customers receive a professional experience from start to finish.
This is not a desk-only project management position. You will be in the field, visiting job sites, communicating with homeowners and subcontractors, solving problems, checking workmanship, and making sure projects are completed correctly and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
● Manage multiple active residential and commercial projects
● Visit job sites before, during, and after construction
● Conduct pre-construction walkthroughs with customers when needed
● Communicate project expectations with subcontractor crews
● Verify scopes of work before and during construction
● Monitor workmanship, quality, and job-site cleanliness
● Ensure crews are following the agreed scope of work
● Communicate project progress and issues with customers
● Coordinate with Morland’s production, sales, and office teams
● Identify problems early and help develop practical solutions
● Perform final project walkthroughs and quality-control inspections
● Create and manage punch lists
● Confirm punch-list items are completed before project closeout
● Document projects with photos, notes, and updates
● Pick up and deliver miscellaneous materials when necessary
● Run dump trailers and coordinate job-site debris disposal
● Help keep projects moving when unexpected field issues arise
● Maintain a professional customer experience throughout construction
What This Position Does NOT Require
Morland Companies has a dedicated Production Manager who handles primary material ordering, production scheduling, and insurance supplement work.
We’re looking for someone who can focus heavily on field execution, quality control, subcontractor coordination, customer communication, and getting projects across the finish line.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need 15 years of project management experience to be successful here.
We’re more interested in someone who:
● Has solid general construction knowledge
● Understands how a professional job site should operate
● Is comfortable communicating with homeowners
● Can confidently communicate expectations to subcontractors
● Notices details and takes pride in quality workmanship
● Is organized and can manage several projects at once
● Doesn’t need to be constantly supervised
● Can think on their feet and solve problems
● Is comfortable using a smartphone and construction/project-management software
● Has a valid driver’s license and clean/reliable driving history
● Is dependable and shows up when they say they will
Experience with roofing, siding, decks, remodeling, or general contracting is strongly preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a major plus. Many construction crews communicate primarily or more comfortably in Spanish, so the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is highly valued, but it is not required for this position.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership.
If something isn’t right on a project, we don’t want someone who simply says, “That’s not my job.” We want someone who sees the problem, communicates it, and helps get it resolved.
At the same time, this position requires someone who knows how to work with subcontractors respectfully, communicate professionally with homeowners, and keep the internal team informed.
Compensation
$25–$35/hour, depending on construction knowledge, project-management experience, and overall qualifications.
