Field Marketing Associate Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing associate in Michigan?
Most field marketing associate roles in Michigan require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business communications, or a related field from an accredited Michigan institution such as Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, or Grand Valley State University. No state-issued license is required for the role. Employers typically look for coursework in consumer behavior and campaign management, along with internship experience at a Michigan brand, retailer, or agency before hiring at the associate level.
Which companies hire field marketing associates in Michigan?
Companies currently hiring field marketing associates in Michigan include Rove, Jars Cannabis, and Home Genius Exteriors, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Michigan's concentration of automotive, consumer goods, and financial services headquarters means field marketing roles here often involve dealer networks, retail channel programs, or regional brand activation tied to those industries.
Which Michigan cities have the most field marketing associate jobs?
Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Flint have the most field marketing associate openings in Michigan. Detroit drives the largest share given its density of automotive, retail, and financial services employers, while Grand Rapids attracts openings tied to consumer packaged goods and healthcare marketing, and Ann Arbor draws roles connected to its technology and university-adjacent company base.
Are there remote field marketing associate jobs in Michigan?
Yes, but they're rare. Field marketing associate work is inherently territory-based, requiring in-store visits, dealer calls, and on-site event execution that cannot be done remotely. About 67% of field marketing associate openings tied to Michigan are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to cover administrative or planning-focused parts of the role such as campaign reporting and partner communications rather than active field work.
How can I get hired as a field marketing associate in Michigan with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a brand ambassador or marketing coordinator role at a Michigan consumer goods company or automotive dealer group, which are common stepping stones into full field associate positions. Employers like Kellogg and Stellantis run structured rotational or associate marketing programs out of their Michigan offices that consider new graduates. A portfolio of campus marketing projects, retail promotion experience, or a completed internship at a Michigan agency or regional brand will give candidates a measurable edge without prior full-time field experience.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing associate jobs in Michigan?
You can find and apply to field marketing associate jobs in Michigan on Migrate Mate, which lists current Michigan openings in one place. Search for roles that match your experience level and target territory, then apply directly to whichever ones fit your background.
