Food and Beverage Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a food and beverage manager in Colorado?
Most Colorado employers expect a combination of a hospitality or business degree and progressive leadership experience in food service operations. Colorado does not issue a state license specifically for food and beverage managers, but managers are typically required to hold a current ServSafe Manager certification and demonstrate compliance with Colorado liquor regulations enforced by the Colorado Department of Revenue's Liquor Enforcement Division. Candidates who move up from roles like restaurant supervisor, banquet captain, or front-of-house lead are commonly hired into manager positions at Colorado's hotel groups and resort properties.
Which companies hire food and beverage managers in Colorado?
Colorado food and beverage manager roles are posted by Vail Resorts, BlueStar Resort & Golf, and Marriott International and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of urban hotel groups in Denver and mountain resort operators in Summit County and the Roaring Fork Valley means openings appear year-round across a wide range of operation types and scales.
Which Colorado cities have the most food and beverage manager jobs?
Denver, Lone Tree, and Vail account for the highest concentration of food and beverage manager openings in Colorado. Denver leads because of its density of full-service hotels, convention venues, and multi-outlet restaurant groups, while resort destinations like Vail, Aspen, and Breckenridge generate consistent demand tied to Vail Resorts properties and independent luxury operators that staff up for both ski and summer seasons.
Are there remote food and beverage manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're rare. Food and beverage management is fundamentally an on-site, hands-on discipline requiring daily oversight of staff, service quality, and physical operations. About 20% of food and beverage manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions typically involve corporate-level roles such as regional operations, menu development consulting, or multi-unit brand oversight rather than property-based management.
How can I get hired as a food and beverage manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a supervisory role first, then building toward management. Large Colorado hospitality employers like Sage Hospitality Group and Vail Resorts regularly hire assistant managers and food and beverage supervisors from candidates with strong front-of-house backgrounds as servers, bartenders, or banquet leads. Completing a hospitality associate or bachelor's program at a Colorado institution and earning a ServSafe Manager certification signals readiness to employers. Seasonal positions at mountain resort properties are also a proven way to gain the operational volume and multi-outlet exposure Colorado hiring managers look for.
Where can I find and apply to food and beverage manager jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to food and beverage manager jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from Colorado employers. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
