Growth Manager Jobs in Maryland: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth manager in Maryland?
Growth manager is not a state-licensed role in Maryland, so there is no Maryland-specific exam or registration required. Most hiring managers in the state expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a data-heavy discipline, combined with hands-on experience running growth or demand generation programs. Earning a recognized analytics or digital marketing certification and building a portfolio with measurable results strengthens candidacy considerably with Maryland's technology and government-contracting employers.
Which companies hire growth managers in Maryland?
Maryland growth manager roles are posted by USHP, WellDoc, and The Baltimore Sun and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Maryland's concentration of federal contractors, health systems, and fintech firms means demand is distributed across both the Baltimore corridor and the DC suburban market.
Which Maryland cities have the most growth manager jobs?
Columbia, Greenbelt, and Laurel have the most growth manager openings in Maryland right now. Baltimore leads because of its density of health systems, cybersecurity firms, and financial institutions, while the Montgomery County and Rockville corridor benefits from its proximity to federal agencies and a large cluster of technology and government-contracting headquarters that drive steady growth-focused hiring.
Are there remote growth manager jobs in Maryland?
Yes, and more than most fields, because growth manager work is largely analytical and strategic rather than tied to a physical location. About 0% of growth manager openings tied to Maryland are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly the role has shifted toward distributed teams. Demand generation, SEO strategy, and revenue operations functions tend to be the most remote-friendly specialties within the role.
How can I get hired as a growth manager in Maryland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a marketing coordinator, business analyst, or sales development role at a Maryland employer. Large Baltimore-area health systems and Montgomery County technology companies frequently hire junior growth or marketing operations associates who build toward the growth manager title. Completing a recognized digital analytics or growth marketing certification and presenting a case study showing measurable results from a small project or internship gives candidates a concrete edge in a competitive field.
