INTRODUCTION
L.B. Foster is seeking a Product Manager to lead strategy, growth, and lifecycle management for key products within our Infrastructure Precast Concrete segment. This portfolio includes precast solutions serving industrial, commercial, government, and transportation markets - critical components that support essential infrastructure projects. In collaboration with commercial managers, operations leaders, and cross-functional teams, you will develop strategies, define product roadmaps, drive commercialization, and manage the full lifecycle for products such as box culverts, wastewater management systems, concrete building materials, and other precast solutions. These initiatives will strengthen our market position and deliver measurable customer value.
Success in this role requires balancing innovation with practicality—introducing new solutions or operational growth strategies that position the business for market expansion and efficiency, while also optimizing mature product lines for profitability. Ideal candidates bring strong business acumen, technical understanding of precast concrete infrastructure products, and experience in market analysis and growth planning. RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Define and maintain a strategic product roadmap grounded in Voice of Customer (VOC), market trends, and commercial insights to drive organic growth.

Develop customer-centric value propositions and business cases that support product development, pricing strategy, and investment prioritization.

Lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle—including concept development, business case approval, development, launch, and post-launch optimization—using stage-gate methodologies.

Conduct ongoing market, competitive, and pricing analysis to inform positioning, roadmap decisions, and strategic response.

Own product-line financial performance, including revenue, margin, and ROI accountability; provide regular updates and insights for portfolio reviews.

Define product requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensure solutions meet customer needs, technical feasibility, and quality standards.

Partner with sales and marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including launch planning, positioning, messaging, and enablement materials.

Support sales effectiveness through training, collateral development, and targeted campaigns aligned to product and market strategy.

Represent the product line internally and externally - engaging customers, field teams, and leadership to champion the vision and drive alignment.

Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve product value, operational efficiency, and commercialization processes.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, business or STEM preferred
- MBA or other relevant graduate degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant field such as sales, product management, marketing or operations leadership
- Product management experience or relevant industry experience preferred - Experience working in construction tech, modular/precast concrete products, or industrial infrastructure is a strong plus
- Demonstrated success working in a matrixed or global environment with cross-functional influence
- B2B industrial experience preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning, goal setting, project management, and prioritization capabilities
- Demonstrated analytical and business acumen – market data analysis, balancing customer needs, pricing models, and financial metrics supporting strategy and investment return
- Technical aptitude working with engineering and operations teams to understand product specifications and manufacturing processes
- Experience presenting to senior executives and external stakeholders (e.g., customer roadshows, sales enablement events)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Power BI
- Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and collaboration across diverse teams
- Willingness to travel ~20% to plants, and customer sites
