Growth Marketing Manager Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a growth marketing manager in North Carolina?
Growth marketing manager is not a state-licensed role in North Carolina, so there is no board exam or state registration required to work in this capacity. Most North Carolina employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a quantitative field, followed by progressive experience in digital or performance marketing. Building a portfolio of measurable growth experiments and earning platform certifications from Google or HubSpot strengthens candidacy considerably in the Raleigh and Charlotte markets.
How much do growth marketing managers make in North Carolina?
Growth marketing managers in North Carolina earn a median of about $165,480 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $96,760 for the lowest 10% to over $274,100 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire growth marketing managers in North Carolina?
Employers hiring growth marketing managers in North Carolina right now include Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Choreo, and Intuit, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. North Carolina's concentration of fintech, healthtech, and media companies in the Charlotte and Research Triangle corridors creates consistent demand for this role year-round.
Which North Carolina cities have the most growth marketing manager jobs?
Charlotte, Durham, and Raleigh lead North Carolina for growth marketing manager openings. Charlotte's large fintech and media company base, including firms anchored in the South End and Uptown corridors, drives the bulk of postings, while Raleigh and Durham benefit from the dense technology and life sciences presence around Research Triangle Park, which draws growth-focused marketing teams from across the country.
Are there remote growth marketing manager jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of growth marketing manager openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of the work. Roles centered on paid acquisition strategy, lifecycle email programs, and growth analytics tend to be the most fully remote, while positions requiring close collaboration with product or sales teams more often require at least a hybrid arrangement.
How can I get hired as a growth marketing manager in North Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a growth marketing manager role from a marketing coordinator, paid media specialist, or marketing analyst position at a North Carolina tech or SaaS company. Companies in the Research Triangle such as those clustered around the American Underground network in Durham often hire associate growth marketers and promote from within. Building a documented record of experiments, earning a Google Ads or HubSpot certification, and targeting coordinator openings at mid-stage startups in Raleigh or Charlotte gives candidates without formal experience the clearest foothold.
