HSC Medical Billing & Consulting LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team in downtown Evansville, Indiana. We are looking for an experienced medical billing professional with a strong background in insurance accounts receivable, payment posting, and denial management.
This is an on-site position located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. Remote work is not available. Pay range is only $15-$17.00 hourly.

Job Responsibilities
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely
- Manage insurance accounts receivable
- Follow up on unpaid or underpaid medical insurance claims
- Research and resolve claim denials
- File medical insurance appeals when appropriate
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues
- Maintain detailed account documentation and follow-up activities
- Respond promptly to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and clients
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare billing standards
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in medical billing insurance accounts receivable and/or medical billing office administration
- Experience with payment posting and insurance follow-up
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payer guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
- Experience filing claim appeals with insurance companies
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- High school diploma or equivalent required
