Market Manager Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a market manager in Kansas?
Most market manager roles in Kansas require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, followed by several years in sales, account management, or territory representation. Kansas does not issue a state license specifically for market managers, so employers focus on industry experience and results. Candidates targeting agribusiness or co-op roles often benefit from coursework or experience tied to Kansas's agricultural economy, and relevant certifications from the American Marketing Association can strengthen an application.
How much do market managers make in Kansas?
Market managers in Kansas earn a median of about $154,510 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $97,870 for the lowest 10% to over $243,790 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire market managers in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring market managers in Kansas include JPMorganChase, Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and UniFirst, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's concentration in agribusiness, energy, and financial services means many of the state's most consistent market manager openings come from cooperatives, commodity firms, and regional banks with deep roots in the state.
Which Kansas cities have the most market manager jobs?
Lenexa, Overland Park, and Olathe lead Kansas for market manager openings. Wichita anchors demand through its manufacturing, aviation supply chain, and regional retail networks, while Kansas City draws openings tied to its large consumer goods distributors and financial institutions, and Topeka adds volume through state government contractors and insurance sector employers headquartered there.
Are there remote market manager jobs in Kansas?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely digital roles, since market management in Kansas typically involves in-person distributor visits and territory coverage. About 50% of market manager openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote work most feasible for the planning, reporting, and strategy portions of the role rather than the field-facing responsibilities.
How can I get hired as a market manager in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a territory sales representative or account coordinator role at a Kansas-based employer, which builds the client management and market analysis skills hiring managers look for. Large Kansas employers in agribusiness and consumer goods, including regional cooperatives and food distribution companies, often bring on sales associates who rotate into market manager responsibilities over time. Completing a certification through the American Marketing Association and developing a portfolio of market analysis projects can give early-career candidates a concrete edge in the application process.
Where can I find and apply to market manager jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to market manager jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit your goals.
