New Jersey does not require a state-issued license for general account management roles, though those in pharmaceutical or medical device sales may need to meet employer-specific compliance training standards. Building experience in adjacent roles such as sales representative or account coordinator within New Jersey's life sciences or financial services industries is the most direct path.
How much do regional account managers make in New Jersey?
Regional account managers in New Jersey earn a median of about $173,020 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $103,580 for the lowest 10% to over $308,630 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional account managers in New Jersey?
Employers hiring regional account managers in New Jersey right now include CSL, GeneDx, and Plurilock, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Which New Jersey cities have the most regional account manager jobs?
The cities with the most regional account manager openings in New Jersey are Newark, Summit, and Princeton. Newark anchors demand through its financial and logistics sectors, Princeton draws heavily from pharmaceutical and biotech firms along the Route 1 corridor, and Parsippany serves as a hub for specialty chemicals and consumer goods companies with large regional sales teams headquartered there.
Are there remote regional account manager jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and they are more common than in many sales roles, though territory management still requires regular in-person client visits. About 75% of regional account manager openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting employers who allow home-office administration work between client calls. Strategic account planning, CRM updates, and internal reporting are the parts of the role most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a regional account manager in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a sales development representative or inside sales role at one of New Jersey's large pharmaceutical, financial services, or technology companies and moving into regional account management after demonstrating consistent quota performance. Employers such as Prudential Financial and several Parsippany-based specialty chemical firms run structured rotational or associate sales programs designed for early-career candidates. A completed bachelor's degree in business or marketing and familiarity with a major CRM platform give candidates a meaningful edge during initial screening.
