Regional Sales Director Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional sales director in Pennsylvania?
Most regional sales directors in Pennsylvania follow a path from individual contributor sales roles through sales management before reaching director level. Pennsylvania does not require a state-issued license for this role in most industries, though life insurance and securities sales leadership requires licensure through the Pennsylvania Insurance Department or FINRA registration. Employers typically expect a bachelor's degree and a demonstrated record of managing teams and growing revenue within a defined territory.
How much do regional sales directors make in Pennsylvania?
Regional sales directors in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $130,610 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,500 for the lowest 10% to over $239,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional sales directors in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring regional sales directors in Pennsylvania right now include EVERSANA, Fivetran, and Team Velocity Marketing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's density of pharmaceutical, financial services, and industrial manufacturing firms means regional sales leadership roles are posted consistently throughout the year, particularly in the Philadelphia suburbs and Pittsburgh metro.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most regional sales director jobs?
Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Camp Hill have the most regional sales director openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia drives volume through its concentration of healthcare, insurance, and technology headquarters, while Pittsburgh's resurgence in advanced manufacturing, robotics, and financial services supports steady director-level demand, and King of Prussia draws postings from the dense corridor of corporate campuses and regional offices along the I-76 corridor.
Are there remote regional sales director jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than many leadership roles, since regional sales directors often manage dispersed teams and can handle strategy, coaching, and reporting remotely. About 67% of regional sales director openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, though most roles still expect regular in-territory travel. Strategic and administrative responsibilities tend to be the most location-flexible portions of the job.
How can I get hired as a regional sales director in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a high-performing account executive or senior sales representative role at a Pennsylvania employer with a structured promotion track. Companies like Comcast, Aramark, and large pharmaceutical distributors headquartered in the Philadelphia region run internal leadership development programs that advance top individual contributors into management. Building familiarity with Salesforce, completing a formal sales methodology certification, and pursuing a role as an area or district sales manager first are the moves that create the strongest case for a director-level hire.
Where can I find and apply to regional sales director jobs in Pennsylvania?
You can find and apply to regional sales director jobs in Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your experience and territory preference and apply directly to the ones that match.
