Territory Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a territory manager in Tennessee?
Most territory manager roles in Tennessee require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a field related to the industry you want to sell into. Tennessee does not issue a state license specific to the territory manager title itself, but roles in healthcare product sales may require familiarity with FDA-regulated product handling, and those in real estate or insurance distribution require the relevant Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance license. Employers typically promote from inside sales or account coordinator positions.
How much do territory managers make in Tennessee?
Territory managers in Tennessee earn a median of about $128,040 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,220 for the lowest 10% to over $231,830 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire territory managers in Tennessee?
Employers hiring territory managers in Tennessee right now include IQVIA, サイネオス・ヘルス, and Syneos Health Commercial Solutions, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of healthcare, logistics, and consumer goods headquarters means hiring is particularly consistent in those sectors across the state.
Which Tennessee cities have the most territory manager jobs?
Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis have the most territory manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville leads because of its dense healthcare, technology, and distribution company presence, Memphis drives volume through its logistics and manufacturing base along the I-40 corridor, and Knoxville adds openings tied to its manufacturing and university-linked commercial activity in East Tennessee.
Are there remote territory manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, but they're rare. Territory management is by nature a field-based role requiring in-person client visits, account reviews, and on-site product demonstrations. About 61% of territory manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to concentrate in software or SaaS sales where the product itself is delivered digitally rather than physically.
How can I get hired as a territory manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an inside sales or sales development representative role at a Tennessee employer, where you build pipeline management skills before moving into field coverage. Large Tennessee distributors and manufacturers such as those in the Nashville healthcare corridor and the Memphis logistics hub regularly hire sales associates and promote internally. A Salesforce certification or a degree from a Tennessee university with a sales concentration adds a measurable edge when applying without direct territory experience.
Where can I find and apply to territory manager jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to territory manager jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Tennessee employers and territories. Find roles that match your industry background and coverage area preference, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
