Account Associate Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an account associate in Massachusetts?
Most account associate roles in Massachusetts require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a closely related field, though some employers accept equivalent experience. There is no state-issued license required for the general account associate role, but candidates entering financial services firms regulated by the Massachusetts Division of Banks or the Office of Consumer Affairs may need to obtain a FINRA Series 6 or Series 63 registration depending on their specific duties. Building experience through internships at Boston-area firms or completing a relevant certification strengthens candidacy significantly.
Which companies hire account associates in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts account associate roles are posted by Bevi, Cape Cod, and Gupta Media and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's concentration of financial institutions, insurance companies, and technology firms in Greater Boston makes it one of the more active markets in the country for this role.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most account associate jobs?
Boston, Norwood, and Waltham have the most account associate openings in Massachusetts right now. Boston dominates the distribution because of its dense cluster of financial services, healthcare, and technology employers, while Cambridge draws demand from biotech and research institutions, and Worcester's growing healthcare and insurance sector supports steady hiring outside the immediate metro area.
Are there remote account associate jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since account associate work is largely desk-based and communication-driven. About 57% of account associate openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well the role adapts to distributed work. Client onboarding coordination, financial account support, and inside sales-adjacent responsibilities are the sub-areas most frequently offered in remote or hybrid formats.
How can I get hired as an account associate in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to associate or coordinator-level openings at large Massachusetts employers who run structured new-graduate programs, including Fidelity Investments, Liberty Mutual, and State Street, all of which hire directly from Massachusetts colleges each cycle. Adjacent roles like customer success representative, billing coordinator, or administrative assistant at the same firms give candidates a foot in the door with internal transfer opportunities. Completing a relevant certification such as a HubSpot CRM credential or a Salesforce Associate certification adds a concrete edge when your resume has limited direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to account associate jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to account associate jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings updated regularly. Search for roles that match your experience level and location preference, then apply directly to the ones that fit. No profile creation is required to view and apply to openings.
