Account Representative Jobs in Hawaii: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account representative in Hawaii?
Most account representative roles in Hawaii require at least a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. For insurance account representatives, Hawaii requires licensure through the Hawaii Insurance Division, which involves passing a state-administered exam and completing a pre-licensing course. Outside of insurance, employers typically look for prior sales or client management experience, with entry-level candidates often starting in coordinator or inside sales roles before moving into full account management.
Which companies hire account representatives in Hawaii?
Companies currently hiring account representatives in Hawaii include State Farm, Reyes Beverage, and Menehune Water Company, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hawaii's concentrated economy means large local institutions in banking, healthcare, and utilities alongside national firms with Honolulu-based offices are among the most consistent sources of account representative openings.
Which Hawaii cities have the most account representative jobs?
Honolulu, ‘Aiea, and Hilo have the most account representative openings in Hawaii. Honolulu drives the majority of demand as the state's commercial and financial center, home to corporate headquarters and regional offices, while Hilo and Kailua-Kona reflect growing business activity on the Big Island tied to tourism, agriculture services, and healthcare expansion.
Are there remote account representative jobs in Hawaii?
Yes, though they represent a smaller share of openings than in purely desk-based fields since account representative work often involves in-person client visits and relationship management. About 0% of account representative openings tied to Hawaii are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and the roles most likely to be fully remote are inside sales positions and national account management roles where travel is not required.
How can I get hired as a account representative in Hawaii with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for inside sales associate or customer success coordinator roles at Hawaii-based employers such as First Hawaiian Bank, HMSA, or Hawaiian Telcom, which regularly bring on candidates from adjacent roles in customer service, retail banking, or hospitality front-of-house work. Building familiarity with a CRM tool and completing a pre-licensing course through the Hawaii Insurance Division strengthens a candidate's profile considerably, even without direct account management history.
Where can I find and apply to account representative jobs in Hawaii?
You can find and apply to account representative jobs in Hawaii on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
