Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Development Jobs at UniFirst Jobs
Frame your background around B2B service sales
UniFirst sells uniform and facility services on long-term contracts to businesses. Tailor your resume to show consultative B2B sales experience, not retail or consumer-facing roles. Hiring managers are looking for pipeline management and account growth, not transactional selling.
Target regional sales markets with active openings
UniFirst operates through a network of regional service locations. Search open Business Development roles by metro area and prioritize locations with multiple active postings, which signals active hiring budgets and a higher likelihood of sponsorship flexibility.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring roles
Not every Business Development posting at UniFirst will explicitly state visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles where UniFirst has a documented sponsorship history, so you can prioritize your applications on positions most likely to support your visa type.
Time your application around your OPT or grace period window
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS allows a 60-day grace period after employment ends. Align your UniFirst application timeline so that a potential H-1B filing or OPT extension doesn't expire mid-process, particularly if cap-subject H-1B registration falls in the March lottery window.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
Once UniFirst extends an offer, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. Understand the prevailing wage requirements for your target metro so you can evaluate whether the offered salary supports a clean filing.

Find Business Development at UniFirst JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UniFirst sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, UniFirst has sponsored H-1B visas for Business Development roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so confirming directly with the recruiter early in the process is important. Roles based in regions with active hiring tend to have more flexibility. UniFirst's status as an established national employer means it has the infrastructure to manage USCIS petition filings.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at UniFirst?
Applications go through UniFirst's careers portal. Search for Business Development or sales-related titles and filter by location. Before applying, verify whether the specific posting supports visa sponsorship, since not every role will. Migrate Mate lists Business Development openings at UniFirst and surfaces roles with a sponsorship history, which helps you prioritize applications most likely to move forward for international candidates.
Which visa types does UniFirst commonly use for Business Development roles?
UniFirst has sponsored H-1B visas for Business Development positions and has also worked with candidates on F-1 OPT and CPT, TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals, and J-1 visa holders in appropriate exchange programs. H-1B is the most common long-term work authorization path for this function. TN can be a faster alternative if your nationality and role qualify under USMCA occupational categories.
What qualifications does UniFirst expect for sponsored Business Development roles?
UniFirst typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with demonstrated B2B sales experience. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning the degree requirement must be tied directly to the position. Strong pipeline management skills and familiarity with service-based contract sales strengthen your candidacy significantly.
How do I estimate the timeline from application to visa approval for a Business Development role at UniFirst?
From offer acceptance to H-1B approval, the process typically takes four to six months under standard USCIS processing, assuming a cap-subject petition filed during the annual April registration window with an October 1 start date. Premium processing can reduce the adjudication window to 15 business days once the petition is filed. F-1 OPT candidates can start sooner if authorization is already active at the time of hire.
