Field Marketing Associate Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing associate in Minnesota?
Most field marketing associate positions in Minnesota require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. No state-issued license is required for the role. Employers typically want candidates who have completed internships or campus marketing programs, and many Minnesota consumer goods and healthcare companies recruit directly from universities like the University of Minnesota, St. Thomas, and Hamline. Building a portfolio of campaign results or event activations strengthens any application.
Which companies hire field marketing associates in Minnesota?
Minnesota field marketing associate roles are posted by West Fraser, Leaf Home, and Myriad360 and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in the Twin Cities, particularly in food and beverage, retail, and healthcare, means large in-house marketing teams post regularly alongside regional agencies and distributors.
Which Minnesota cities have the most field marketing associate jobs?
Solway, Minneapolis, and Chaska have the most field marketing associate openings in Minnesota. The Twin Cities lead because they host corporate headquarters for major consumer, retail, and healthcare brands that run their own field teams, while secondary markets like Rochester and Duluth generate openings tied to medical device companies, regional distributors, and event-driven retail campaigns in those corridors.
Are there remote field marketing associate jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, but they're rare. Field marketing is inherently territory-based and hands-on, so most roles require regular in-person presence at retail locations, events, or client sites. About 100% of field marketing associate openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, and those tend to be the planning, reporting, and coordination portions of the role rather than the activation work itself.
How can I get hired as a field marketing associate in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing internship or brand ambassador program at a Minnesota consumer goods or healthcare company. General Mills, Target, and 3M all run structured early-career marketing programs that place candidates in field-facing roles. Lateral moves from retail key-holder, sales associate, or event coordinator positions also open the door, since employers value direct customer interaction experience. A portfolio showing a campaign you planned or an activation you executed, even from a student project, gives candidates a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing associate jobs in Minnesota?
