Support service employees assist entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams through finance, accounting, IT, and other back-office operations.
Job Description
Winsupply Sourcing Services (WSS) operates ~2 million square feet of wholesaling warehouse space, while offering inventory and vendor management solutions, to be the premier vendor partner for our customer base.
Our customer base consists of aspiring entrepreneurs who own and operate their own wholesale distribution businesses, now over 650 businesses nationwide. In this job you will foster the growth of our distribution center network and digital sales. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Dayton, OH, requiring approximately 50% travel to visit Local Companies and contractors. You will serve as a premier partner to our base of over 650 aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them improve inventory turnover and operational efficiency.
Key Job Responsibilities by Assigned Service Sector
Strategic Sales and Market Growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plan, at a vendor specific level, to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the Winsupply Local Companies network
- Identify target opportunity companies and prioritize key accounts and market segments to maximize sales opportunities and drive customer engagement
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance evaluations with Winsupply Local Companies to assess sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous growth
- Work with representatives for the vendor(s) supporting the role for Winsupply Sourcing Services
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
WSS Representation
- Drive the adoption of eCommerce platforms and digital tools (e.g., Make Payments) among Local Companies and contractors
- Provide demonstrations, webinars, and joint sales calls to showcase the benefits of digital platforms
- Help Local Companies maintain website product data and use WISE ERP to cross-reference information
- Document and deliver user feedback to key stakeholders to improve digital offerings
Relationship Management & Representation
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with “power users”, presidents, and sales teams at Local Companies
- Serve as a consultant to resolve service issues and handle difficult customer inquiries with diplomacy and tact
- Represent Sourcing Services and Digital Commerce at internal events, industry trade shows, and through regular field visits
- All other duties as assigned, including travel as necessary (over 50% of time)
Competencies for Success:
Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong consultative selling strategies and account management expertise. Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and business tools. Ability to work independently while remaining a cohesive part of a team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Proven record of sales growth and leadership within the wholesale distribution or construction industry.
