Relationship Manager Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a relationship manager in Indiana?
Most Indiana relationship manager roles require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics along with prior experience in banking or client services. There is no single Indiana state license for the title itself, but roles involving securities products typically require FINRA registration such as a Series 6 or Series 7, which you obtain through a sponsoring employer. Indiana-based banks and credit unions commonly promote internally from teller, loan officer, or personal banker positions.
Which companies hire relationship managers in Indiana?
Indiana relationship manager roles are posted by Keystone Cooperative, PNC Financial Services, and KeyBank and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indiana's strong community banking sector and the presence of regional and national financial institutions in Indianapolis make it one of the more active markets for this role in the Midwest.
Which Indiana cities have the most relationship manager jobs?
Indianapolis, Fishers, and South Bend have the most relationship manager openings in Indiana. Indianapolis dominates because it is home to major bank headquarters, insurance firms, and corporate financial services operations, while Fort Wayne and Evansville generate openings through regional banks, credit unions, and commercial lending offices that serve their surrounding manufacturing and agricultural economies.
Are there remote relationship manager jobs in Indiana?
Yes, but they're relatively limited, since relationship management is inherently client-facing and most Indiana employers expect in-person contact with commercial or retail clients. About 32% of relationship manager openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to cluster in digital banking, portfolio administration, and inside sales support functions rather than traditional client relationship roles.
How can I get hired as a relationship manager in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a personal banker, teller, or loan officer assistant at an Indiana community bank or credit union, then moving into a junior relationship manager role once you have client-facing experience. Old National Bank and Horizon Bank both run associate-level development programs in Indiana. A FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 registration, even obtained through a prior employer, gives candidates a measurable edge when applying to investment or wealth-adjacent relationship manager openings.
Where can I find and apply to relationship manager jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to relationship manager jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings across banking, commercial lending, wealth management, and insurance. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
