Overview
Lead the bar program in an upscale restaurant, creating polished guest experiences while keeping service, staffing, and operations running smoothly. You’ll guide the team through busy shifts, uphold food and beverage safety standards, and partner with restaurant and kitchen leaders to support consistent service.
- Weekly inventory required using inventory software
- Establishing relationships with liquor/beer vendors - placing weekly orders, receiving and putting away those orders
- Responsible for knowing and reporting Beverage cost to management on a weekly basis
- Assist in interviewing, hiring and training for new bartenders
- Assist in schedule for Bar
- Managing Bartender opening / closing sidework
- Keeping the Bar area health inspection ready at all times
This is a working position and the Bar Manager will also bartend and receive tips.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily bar operations, shift coverage, service flow, and team performance.
- Hire, interview, supervise, and train staff; support ongoing team development and clear managerial communication.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering, cash handling, and point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS where applicable.
- Monitor budgets and profit-and-loss performance; use basic math and operational records to guide decisions.
- Coordinate with food service and kitchen teams on food preparation, cooking, food production, food handling, and food safety management.
Requirements
- Relevant bar, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience; fine dining experience is valuable. Assistant manager experience and supervising or management experience are preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, customer service, and staff training skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory control, cash handling, budgeting, and profit-and-loss analysis.
- Knowledge of food safety and food management; kitchen management, food preparation, cooking, or culinary experience is helpful.
- Experience in hospitality management, restaurant management, or food service management is preferred. Quick service, fast food, casual dining, banquet, catering, coffee, serving, or other food industry experience can also be relevant.
Pay: $15.00 - $50.00 per hour
