Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Sales Development Representative to join our sales team. This role involves actively seek new business opportunities, engage and build relationships with potential customers, provide complete and appropriate solutions for every potential customer to boost top-line revenue grouwth, customer acquistion levels, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and experience with CRM software and outbound calling strategies.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
- Qualify leads from current customer database.
- Reach out to potential leads and inquiries about company and offerings through cold colds, emails, and social media.
- Generate and close sales leads.
- Research, identify and prospect for new customers.
- Present our company to potential prospects.
- Identify prospect’s needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
- Set up meetings and appointments.
- Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects.
- Being accountable for profitable sales growth and meeting targeted monthly and annual production goals.
- Maintaining awareness in the development of sound marketing strategies, monitoring industry trends, attending conferences, and maintaining focus on company growth objectives with a goal of maintaining/achieving a superior position in the industry.
- Learn and understand prospects industry, sales process, competition and compelling events to make effective and meaningful conversations.
- Maintain customer records as well as keep records of visits/sales.
- Clear, articulate, and consistent verbal communication that will effectively translate the value proposition to the customer.
- Initiate support for key sales initiatives.
- Provide feedback to management on a weekly basis on sales results.
- Utilize and master our CRM system (Sales pad)
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned by management.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Superior salesmanship and demonstrated ability to understand consumer behavior and its relationship to achieving customer solutions.
- Fair understanding of sales performance metrics
- Proficiency in MS office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral, written communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels by virtue of professional competence, integrity and personal style.
- An independent, driven, self-motivated, passionate professional who has an exceptional personal work ethic, personal presence and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
- Multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment.
- Track record of achieving sales quotas.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or business administration preferred.
- 1-2 years as sales development representative, sales executive, or similar experience.
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing and social media outreach.
- Experience working with a CRM.
- Experience working with the public, wholesale, or distribution industry preferred.
