Sales Enablement Manager Jobs in Virginia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales enablement manager in Virginia?
Sales enablement manager roles in Virginia require no state-issued license or registration, so the path runs through education and demonstrated experience. Most Virginia employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications alongside hands-on work in sales, sales operations, or training. Building proficiency in enterprise CRM platforms and completing vendor certifications from tools like Salesforce or Seismic strengthens a candidacy considerably in Virginia's defense and technology-heavy market.
Which companies hire sales enablement managers in Virginia?
Employers hiring sales enablement managers in Virginia right now include Deltek, ExcelaCom, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Virginia's concentration of federal contractors and technology firms means many of these roles support enterprise or government-facing sales teams with specialized enablement needs.
Which Virginia cities have the most sales enablement manager jobs?
Herndon, Reston, and Arlington have the most sales enablement manager openings in Virginia. Northern Virginia dominates because of its dense cluster of defense contractors, cloud services firms, and federal IT companies, while Richmond's financial services and insurance headquarters and Hampton Roads' military and government contracting base each generate consistent demand for enablement professionals supporting large, structured sales organizations.
Are there remote sales enablement manager jobs in Virginia?
Yes, and more than most fields, since sales enablement work is fundamentally desk-based, content-driven, and platform-dependent. About 67% of sales enablement manager openings tied to Virginia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how comfortably the role adapts to distributed teams. Content development, LMS administration, and sales tool management are the functions most likely to be fully remote, while onboarding facilitation and live sales coaching tend to require periodic in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sales enablement manager in Virginia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a sales development, account coordinator, or marketing operations role at a Virginia employer that already has an enablement function. Large Northern Virginia technology and defense firms such as Leidos, SAIC, and Booz Allen Hamilton hire associate sales operations analysts and program coordinators who grow into enablement roles. Building a portfolio of training materials, sales playbooks, or onboarding curricula, and earning a Salesforce administrator certification, gives candidates a concrete edge over others with no formal enablement title.
Where can I find and apply to sales enablement manager jobs in Virginia?
You can find and apply to sales enablement manager jobs in Virginia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Virginia openings. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to the employers posting them.
