Hotel Sales Manager

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Raleigh North – Wake Forest.

Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to lead sales and business development at our Holiday Inn Express & Suites Raleigh North – Wake Forest.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated hospitality professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and taking ownership of sales performance. The primary focus will be securing Local Negotiated Business and Group Business to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.

Working closely with the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales, the Sales Manager will oversee all hotel sales activities, including outside sales calls, corporate account development, group sales, sales administration, and revenue management support. This position will also assist with hotel operations as needed and serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market share.
• Prospect and secure Local Negotiated Business through corporate account development, negotiated rate agreements, and relationships with local businesses.
• Identify and secure Group Business, including corporate, sports, wedding, social, and other group opportunities.
• Conduct regular outside sales calls, client visits, networking, and community outreach to generate new business.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Manage group room blocks, contracts, and client communications in coordination with the front office team.
• Oversee sales department administrative duties, including account records, sales reports, correspondence, and documentation.
• Partner with the General Manager on pricing, forecasting, and revenue management strategies.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
• Assist with hotel operations as needed and serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of hotel sales experience.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to prospect, develop new business, conduct outside sales calls, and manage client relationships.
• Comfortable handling administrative responsibilities and managing multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating with the hotel team.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to excellent guest service.

Preferred Experience

• IHG brand experience is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Local Negotiated Business, corporate accounts, and Group Sales preferred.
• Experienced Hotel Sales Coordinators ready to advance into a Sales Manager role are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
