We are ONLY considering candidates who are currently or have previously served as a General Manager in a Restaurant or Hospitality organization, or experienced Assistant General Managers who are ready to take the next step into a GM role.
Candidates MUST have experience in BOTH upscale dining AND high-volume restaurant operations. Experience in only one of these environments will not meet the requirements for this position.

Lead an Established Portland Dining Destination
We are hiring an experienced General Manager for one of Portland's established upscale dining destinations.
This is an opportunity to lead a restaurant known for its classic American cuisine, premium steaks, fresh seafood, elevated beverage program, and memorable guest experiences.
We're looking for a polished, hands-on hospitality leader who understands how to balance exceptional service with strong financial performance. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable connecting with guests, developing managers, coaching employees, and taking ownership of the business.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Restaurant Leadership & Guest Experience
- Take ownership of the restaurant's day-to-day performance, ensuring every service reflects the concept's hospitality standards.
- Maintain a strong presence on the dining room floor, building relationships with guests and creating memorable experiences.
- Work closely with culinary and beverage leadership to deliver consistent food quality, service execution, and operational excellence.
- Establish a culture where hospitality, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork are part of everyday operations.
- Resolve guest concerns thoughtfully and proactively, turning challenges into opportunities to build loyalty.
People Development & Culture
- Recruit, coach, and retain a talented team of hospitality professionals.
- Develop managers and emerging leaders through consistent feedback, training, and clear expectations.
- Create an environment where employees feel supported, challenged, and motivated to perform.
- Build effective staffing plans that support service standards while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Lead by example and foster strong communication between FOH, BOH, and management.
Financial & Business Performance
- Own restaurant profitability, including sales performance, labor management, food and beverage costs, and controllable expenses.
- Analyze financial results, identify opportunities, and implement strategies that strengthen performance.
- Oversee scheduling, purchasing, inventory, payroll, and administrative processes.
- Identify ways to increase revenue through guest retention, service excellence, and local business opportunities.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, restaurant presentation, and operational compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Current or former General Manager, or an experienced Assistant General Manager ready for promotion.
- Required experience in BOTH upscale dining and high-volume, full-service restaurants.
- Proven success leading restaurant operations and maintaining elevated hospitality standards.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, labor optimization, cost controls, and restaurant profitability.
- Experience developing management teams and building a positive, performance-driven culture.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to connect naturally with guests.
- Strong working knowledge of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A stable, progressive career history demonstrating leadership growth and operational success.
- Multi-unit or regional leadership experience is a plus.
