What You’ll Do
- Retain and grow an assigned portfolio of existing customers across Penske’s diverse contract product lines (Full-Service Lease, Penske Trailer Plus, Penske Fleet Management, Logistics, On-Site, etc.) to meet or exceed annual revenue and retention targets
- Act as a trusted transportation consultant by understanding each customer's business model and proactively delivering strategic recommendations
- Conduct regular partnership reviews using data-driven intelligence— leveraging Salesforce, fleet analytics, and business insights tools — to identify growth opportunities and expand share of wallet across product lines
- Negotiate contract renewals and extensions that create long-term value for customers and Penske
- Expand share of wallet by introducing additional Penske products and services that address evolving customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams and the Corporate Sales team early in the sales process to articulate Penske's full value proposition, align on growth strategy, and ensure seamless service delivery
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite decision-makers and key stakeholders across your accounts
- Monitor customer satisfaction, market trends, and competitive activity to anticipate challenges and position solutions proactively
- Use Salesforce to manage account plans, track customer interactions, and maintain accurate pipeline and renewal forecasts
- Advocate for customer needs internally while educating customers on Penske's processes, capabilities, and value proposition
What You Bring
- Proven B2B account management experience with a track record in customer retention and revenue growth
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, including credibility with C-suite stakeholders, along with excellent negotiation skills
- Consultative sales approach with the ability to analyze needs and deliver tailored solutions, supported by data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven tools, with the ability to manage pipeline, territory, and time effectively
- Customer-focused, analytical, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and adapt to changing priorities (transportation/logistics experience preferred)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of executive level sales experience or experience in a sales support role with executive level exposure to customers, preferably in a service and transportation selling environment
- Demonstrated ability in consultative and strategic selling techniques, including previous experience in articulating / presenting multiple products and services to C-level executives both verbally and in writing
- Ability to connect and build rapport / relationships with internal and external customers at all levels
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects / work streams
- Skill in the operation of variety of computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sales CRM
- High School Diploma or equivalent required bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
