INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our Tax-Sensitive investment team in a high-visibility support role. This position offers direct exposure to fixed income trading, product strategy, risk management, and client engagement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in investment management. The individual in this role will serve as a key operational partner to traders and product management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless daily execution across the team.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trading & Market Support:
- Reconcile calculated prices, amounts, and dates on municipal bond trade tickets each morning following trading activity
- Provide direct support to the trading desk
- Maintain and enhance spreadsheets and reporting tools that support trading activity
Investment Team & Client Coordination:
- Organize and coordinate prospect, client, and consultant meetings and events
- Provide day-to-day operational leverage to the Tax-Sensitive group
Risk Management & Controls:
- Support internal audit requirements related to privacy, confidentiality, and record keeping
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to compliance standards
Product & Competitive Intelligence:
- Assist Product Management in maintaining competitor data and databases, including strategy performance and new product developments
- Develop a working knowledge of the fixed income products and strategies managed by the Tax-Exempt group
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Basic knowledge of fixed income and general understanding of the financial industry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines
- Team-oriented with strong attention to detail
