Business Development Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development in Georgia?
Most Georgia employers hire business development professionals with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, though no state-issued license is required for the role. Candidates who build experience in inside sales, account management, or customer success roles tend to move into business development positions most quickly. Certifications such as HubSpot's Sales certification or Salesforce credentials are valued by Atlanta-area technology and SaaS employers when formal experience is limited.
Which companies hire business developments in Georgia?
Georgia business development roles are posted by Yancey Bros, Schneider, and Fidelity Bank and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's density of Fortune 500 headquarters and regional offices makes it the state's busiest market for ongoing business development hiring across technology, financial services, and distribution sectors.
Which Georgia cities have the most business development jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia have the most business development openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because of its concentration of corporate headquarters, regional offices, and a mature technology corridor along the Perimeter and Midtown, while Savannah's expanding port economy and Augusta's healthcare and cybersecurity presence drive steady demand outside the metro.
Are there remote business development jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 76% of business development openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on phone, video, and email outreach rather than a fixed office. Roles focused on outbound prospecting, partnership management, and SaaS sales are the most likely to be fully remote.
How can I get hired as a business development in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales development representative or inside sales role, which large Georgia employers like NCR Atleos, Equifax, and Cox Enterprises use as a formal pipeline into business development. Applying to structured rotational sales programs at Atlanta-headquartered companies gives candidates hands-on exposure to the full development cycle. A demonstrated portfolio of outreach campaigns, a Salesforce or HubSpot certification, and any internship with a Georgia technology or logistics firm meaningfully strengthens an application without prior full-time experience.
Where can I find and apply to business development jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to business development jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, and smaller markets statewide. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employer without creating an account or signing up first.
