National Account Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a national account manager in Tennessee?
Most national account managers in Tennessee enter the role through a combination of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field and several years of B2B sales experience. Tennessee does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers in the state typically look for candidates who have worked their way up through territory sales or account executive positions, particularly within the healthcare, manufacturing, or logistics sectors that anchor the Tennessee market.
How much do national account managers make in Tennessee?
National account managers in Tennessee earn a median of about $61,630 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $34,350 for the lowest 10% to over $128,130 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire national account managers in Tennessee?
Companies currently hiring national account managers in Tennessee include Barr Brands, Georgia-Pacific, and Hunter Fan Company, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tennessee's concentration of healthcare, distribution, and manufacturing headquarters means national account roles here often involve managing high-volume, multi-site client relationships across the Southeast and beyond.
Which Tennessee cities have the most national account manager jobs?
Memphis, Nashville, and Bells have the most national account manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville dominates because of its density of healthcare companies, corporate headquarters, and regional distribution operations, while Memphis draws openings tied to its logistics and supply chain industry, and Knoxville reflects the manufacturing and industrial corridor anchored by employers like Eastman Chemical.
Are there remote national account manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most sales roles, since national account managers spend much of their time communicating with distributed client teams rather than working on-site. About 100% of national account manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the most remote-friendly positions concentrated in technology, software, and healthcare SaaS accounts where client visits are less frequent.
How can I get hired as a national account manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a territory sales representative or inside sales role at a Tennessee-based distributor or manufacturer, where you build account management fundamentals before moving into a national account position. Large Tennessee employers in healthcare distribution and consumer goods regularly promote from within after one to two years of demonstrated performance. Earning a Certified Professional Sales Person credential or completing a sales development program strengthens a candidate's profile when formal experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to national account manager jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to national account manager jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, industry background, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
