Job Position: Controls Electrician
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Controls Electrician with 5+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems. This role requires expertise in installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting building management systems (BMS).
Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, and terminate BMS control panels, field devices, and associated equipment
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, riser diagrams, and shop drawings
- Understand and implement proper signal flow (analog, digital, network communications)
- Install and wire sensors, actuators, relays, VFDs, thermostats, dampers, valves, and controllers
- Perform point-to-point checkout and verify correct wiring and device operation
- Assist with system startup and commissioning support
- Troubleshoot wiring, communication, and device issues in the field
- Coordinate with project managers, programmers, and commissioning teams
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in low voltage system installation and service
- Proficiency in pulling, terminating, and testing network, coaxial, fiber, BACnet, and MSTP cables
- Hands-on experience with AV, security, data infrastructure, and BMS systems
- Experience running and bending conduit (EMT, Flex, MC)
- Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- SST Card Required
