Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and strengthen enterprise security across corporate IT systems while supporting cybersecurity initiatives within manufacturing (OT) environments. This is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on owning security platforms, improving threat detection and response, and driving cybersecurity initiatives across hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud). The role also partners with engineering and infrastructure teams to extend security controls into manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities
Enterprise IT Security
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise security controls across on-prem and cloud environments
- Own and administer security tools including SIEM, EDR/XDR, and IAM (MFA, PAM/PIM)
- Lead threat detection, threat hunting, and incident response activities
- Secure and monitor Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
- Tune alerts and improve detection capabilities to reduce false positives
- Investigate and remediate security incidents; provide on-call support as needed
OT / Manufacturing Security Support
- Support security efforts across manufacturing and OT environments
- Assist in extending visibility and monitoring into OT systems
- Support secure remote/vendor access controls
- Partner with engineering teams on network segmentation and access controls
- Participate in OT-related incident response with focus on uptime and safety
Security Roadmap & Leadership
- Lead and execute cybersecurity initiatives aligned with business priorities
- Track and communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership on prioritization based on risk and impact
Risk, Compliance & Architecture
- Perform risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security reviews
- Support internal and external audits (NIST, ISO 27001 aligned)
- Contribute to security policies, standards, and documentation
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies
Collaboration & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership and executive stakeholders
- Coordinate with external security partners (SOC, MDR, pentest providers)
- Mentor team members and promote security best practices
- Communicate technical risks in business-friendly terms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or security operations
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.)
- EDR/XDR (CrowdStrike, Defender, etc.)
- Identity & Access Management (MFA, PAM/PIM)
- Incident Response & Threat Hunting
- Cloud Security (Azure preferred)
- Experience securing enterprise environments (on-prem + cloud)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred:
- Exposure to manufacturing / OT / ICS / SCADA environments
