Growth Jobs in USA with Visa Sponsorship
Growth roles, covering areas like growth marketing, growth engineering, and growth product management, can qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship when they require a bachelor's degree in a related field. Tech companies and high-growth startups are the most common sponsors, especially in growth engineering or growth PM positions. Pure growth marketing roles can be trickier since USCIS sometimes questions whether marketing meets the specialty occupation standard. Having a quantitative or technical angle to your growth role strengthens the visa case significantly. For detailed occupation requirements, see the O*NET profile.

What Artisan Is
We're building AI employees. Not chatbots. Not copilots. Autonomous digital workers that do real jobs.
Our first, Ava, is an AI BDR used by hundreds of companies. She researches leads, writes and sends emails in a customer's voice, runs multi-step outbound sequences, manages her own deliverability infrastructure, self-optimizes over time, and handles objections and meeting booking. She's not a tool someone uses. She's a teammate.
We're a YC W24 company, have raised $35M+ from investors including Y Combinator, and are at $8M+ ARR. Right now we're building Ava 2.0, a step change in what an AI employee can do. The engineering problems are hard and the surface area is enormous.
The Role
You’ll be a core part of the growth team at Artisan. This is a foundational growth hire.
We’re known for our marketing, and this role exists to double down on it. You’ll own how Artisan grows — from first touch to expansion — and work directly with the CEO and growth team to design and execute a strategy that takes Artisan from $7M → $25M+ ARR in the next 12 months.
Growth at Artisan spans acquisition, conversion, product-led loops, and brand. You’ll own all of it.
What that looks like concretely:
-
Growth strategy across channels.
Own the full growth strategy across paid, organic, brand, and product-led motions.
-
Acquisition at scale.
Scale inbound demand through performance marketing, SEO, lifecycle marketing, virality loops, and bold stunts (e.g. our “Stop Hiring Humans” billboards).
-
Conversion optimization.
Build and optimize funnels across web, product, and sales hand-off. Instrument every step and improve it with data.
-
Product-led growth.
Design onboarding flows, paywall moments, and in-product upsell and expansion paths to drive PLG adoption.
-
Brand & community.
Turn Artisan into a cult brand. Architect viral campaigns, UGC loops, and social dominance across LinkedIn, X, and beyond.
-
Analytics & experimentation.
Build the growth model, own the dashboards, and run continuous experiments across every channel.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or a similar role
- A creative, out-of-the-box thinker who enjoys testing unconventional ideas
- High grit and hunger — willing to work hard and take ownership
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from zero
- Strong communicator who can work directly with leadership
Why This Role
- You’re not joining a growth team — you’re helping shape it. This role has direct ownership over how Artisan scales.
- You’ll work directly with the CEO on one of the most important problems in the company: growth.
- The scope is real and the stakes are high. What you build will directly affect revenue, brand, and product adoption.
- You’ll ship meaningful work every week in a fast-moving environment.
- Competitive compensation, flexibility, and autonomy in a company with real traction and real ambition.

Combine marketing and engineering skills to stand out
Growth professionals who can both design experiments and write code to implement them are rare and valuable. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and A/B testing platforms alongside marketing strategy creates a profile that is difficult to fill domestically, strengthening the case for sponsorship.
Target Series B through pre-IPO startups with dedicated growth teams
Companies at this stage have product-market fit and are investing heavily in scaling user acquisition. Startups like Notion, Figma, and Canva built dedicated growth teams during this phase and sponsored international growth professionals to staff them.
Build a portfolio of growth experiments with measurable results
Document specific experiments you designed and ran - including hypothesis, methodology, sample size, and lift achieved. Growth hiring is highly metrics-driven, and concrete evidence of experiments that moved key metrics is more persuasive than listing tools on a resume.
Pursue growth engineering roles for stronger visa positioning
Growth engineer positions that require writing production code, building experimentation frameworks, and integrating data pipelines present a clearer specialty occupation case than marketing-only growth roles. These roles also typically align with STEM degree classifications for OPT purposes.
Learn the experimentation and analytics stack that growth teams use
Proficiency in tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, and Segment is expected in most growth roles. Demonstrating hands-on experience with these platforms shows you can contribute immediately and reduces the ramp-up risk for employers considering sponsorship.

Find Growth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
What is a growth role and do these positions sponsor visas?
Growth roles focus on data-driven user acquisition, activation, and retention, typically using a mix of engineering, product, and marketing skills. Startups and technology companies like Uber, Airbnb, Dropbox, and Stripe have dedicated growth teams and sponsor H-1B visas for qualified growth professionals.
Do growth roles qualify for STEM OPT?
If your degree is in computer science, data science, statistics, or an engineering field, a growth role that involves experimentation, data analysis, or engineering work may qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension. Growth engineering roles are particularly likely to fall under STEM categories.
What skills do employers look for in growth hires they are willing to sponsor?
Employers expect proficiency in A/B testing frameworks, SQL, Python or R for data analysis, and performance marketing platforms like Google Ads or Meta Ads. Growth candidates who can run experiments, analyze funnel data, and build automated acquisition systems bring the technical depth that justifies sponsorship.
Is growth marketing different from growth engineering for visa purposes?
Growth marketing emphasizes paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and channel optimization, while growth engineering involves building experimentation infrastructure and product features that drive growth metrics. Growth engineering roles typically have a stronger STEM classification and may be easier to position as specialty occupations.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Growth jobs?
When a U.S. employer sponsors a foreign worker for a work visa, they are legally required to pay at least the "prevailing wage" — the average wage paid to workers in the same occupation, in the same geographic area, with similar experience. This is set by the Department of Labor to prevent employers from hiring foreign workers at below-market rates. The prevailing wage varies significantly by role, location, and experience level — for example, a growth in California will have a different prevailing wage than the same role in a smaller state. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search.
How to find Growth jobs with visa sponsorship?
To find Growth jobs with visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which specializes in connecting international candidates with sponsoring employers. Growth roles are commonly available at tech startups, SaaS companies, and digital marketing agencies that frequently sponsor H-1B, L-1, and O-1 visas. These companies often need growth marketers, growth analysts, and growth product managers to scale their operations internationally.
