Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Sales Support Specialist
Emphasize technical CRM expertise
Highlight proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, or other enterprise CRM platforms. Technical sales support roles requiring specialized software knowledge strengthen your specialty occupation case for H-1B sponsorship.
Target companies with existing visa programs
Focus on mid-to-large companies that already sponsor visas for similar roles. Check DOL disclosure data to identify employers who've sponsored sales support or business analyst positions recently.
Showcase data analysis skills
Sales support roles involving reporting, forecasting, and performance analytics are more likely to meet specialty occupation requirements. Emphasize SQL, Tableau, or Excel expertise in applications.
Consider TN visa if Canadian or Mexican
Sales Support Specialist may qualify under TN's "Management Consultant" category if the role involves process improvement or sales strategy development requiring a business degree.
Document degree relevance carefully
Ensure your job description clearly connects degree requirements to specific sales support functions. Generic support roles may face scrutiny without clear specialty occupation justification during visa processing.
Apply to software and tech companies
Technology companies are more familiar with visa sponsorship processes and often have sales support roles requiring specialized knowledge of complex products or technical sales processes.

Roles involving CRM administration, sales analytics, or technical product support have stronger cases than general administrative support positions.
What degree do I need for visa sponsorship as a Sales Support Specialist?

USCIS scrutinizes whether the role truly requires specialized knowledge versus general business skills.

What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Sales Support Specialist jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
