Accounting Manager Jobs in USA with Visa Sponsorship
Accounting managers are sponsored at Big Four firms Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, at Fortune 500 corporations like Amazon, Google, JPMorgan, and Pfizer, and at mid-market companies for roles overseeing financial reporting, general ledger management, internal controls, and audit coordination that require accounting degrees. H-1B classification is straightforward because accounting management clearly qualifies as a specialty occupation, and CPA licensure combined with expertise in ASC 606, SOX compliance, or international consolidation creates strong demand that domestic recruitment cannot fill, particularly during close cycles and audit seasons.

How to Get Visa Sponsorship as an Accounting Manager
Big Four Firms Sponsor Accounting Managers at High Volume
Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG each file thousands of H-1B petitions annually and sponsor for accounting managers in audit, tax, and advisory practices. Progression from senior associate to manager typically takes 4 to 6 years with total compensation reaching $100,000 to $140,000.
Corporate Accounting at Fortune 500 Companies Pays Premium
Amazon, Google, Meta, JPMorgan, and Pfizer sponsor for accounting managers overseeing revenue recognition, consolidation, and SEC reporting. These roles pay $110,000 to $170,000 with equity at technology companies.
CPA Licensure Is the Most Important Differentiator
CPA-licensed accounting managers earn 15 to 25% more and are prioritized for sponsorship over non-licensed candidates. Many states allow foreign-educated accountants to sit for the CPA exam with evaluation through NASBA.
International Reporting Expertise Creates Unique Sponsorship Value
Accounting managers with IFRS, multi-currency consolidation, and international subsidiary reporting expertise fill specialized roles at multinational companies. Cross-border accounting knowledge directly aligns with the backgrounds of foreign-educated professionals.
L-1 Transfers From International Accounting Offices Are Common
Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, and multinational corporations transfer experienced accounting managers on L-1 from offices in London, Mumbai, Toronto, and Sydney. Build two to three years of strong performance internationally before requesting transfer.
TN Accountant Covers Management Roles for USMCA Citizens
The Accountant category on the USMCA treaty list covers accounting management for Canadian and Mexican citizens with accounting degrees. Same-day border approval, no lottery, no cap, and three-year renewable terms.
